Anton Niculescu was born in Bucharest in a family of musicians. Anton Niculescu had his debut at only 12 and, two years later, he was playing the Cello Concerto by Eduard Lalo with the Iasi Philharmonic Orchestra. Anton Niculescu won numerous awards and was invited to play in the most prestigious musical halls in Europe, such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Comunale in Florence or Teatro Bellini in Catania. Since 1997, Anton Niculescu has been a member of the Philharmonic Academy in Bologna. The cellist Anton Niculescu is also one of the founders of ‘Euterpe’ Foundation for young Romanian talents.
