The tradition of the Beethoven Festival (Beethovenfest) Bonn stretches back to 1845, when a three-day music festival was held on the occasion of the dedication of the Beethoven Monument on the city’s Münsterplatz to mark the 75th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

Organized in every year in September, Beethoven Festival, who had different stages of evolution in his history (in 1927, in 1947, in 1995, in 1999), is today an major event where the music of Beethoven have the principal role, famous pianists, violonists, orchestras and conductors performs exceptional interpretations of Beethoven’s sonatas, concerts and orchestral works.
