Societatea Muzicala kindly invites you and your significant other to a touching concert at the Biserica Sfantul Silvestru on Sat, 21st of May at 19:45h (the concert starts at 20:00) to hear an unusual voice, a cello, a piano and some angels:

  • Sonata Patetica 13, nr. 8 (L. van Beethoven) – Alexandru Stoian (piano)
  • Ombra mai fu (G. F. Handel) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)
  • Preludiu din Suita nr. 6 (J. S. Bach) – Stefan Cazacu (cello)
  • Where’er thou walk (G.F. Handel) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)
  • Widmung (Liszt/Schumann) – Abel Corban (piano)
  • Im Fruhling (F. Schubert) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)
  • Vocalise (S. Rachmaninov) – Stefan Cazacu (cello)
  • Caro mio ben (G. Giordani) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)
  • Melodie din Suita op. 18 (G. Enescu) – Abel Corban (piano)
  • Ave Maria (C. Gounod) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)
  • Poloneza 71, nr. 1 (F. Chopin) – Stoian George Fabian (piano)
  • Somewhere Over the Rainbow (H. Arlen) – Anthony Muresan (sopran)

Anthony Muresan is a German sopran (soprano boy), aged 13 now. Anthony was born in Pforzheim Germany with his father of Romanian origin and his mother of Russian-German origin. When aged 4 he started to take piano lessons, and when 8 he became a soloist of the famous Calw Aurelius Boys’ Choir.

Seen as a classical music bright rising star, Anthony was already admitted at the Conservatory of Music in Karlsruhe Germany and take voice lessons with the famous German opera singer Hanno Müller-Brachmann. Two other professors are in charge with his piano education, while another two teach him musical theory and voice techniques, respectively. Anthony won „Jugend Musiziert”, the most important classical music competition in Germany with the highest possible marks for his category and received the scholarship from Fondation „Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung” to promote young artists.

With concerts in different countries, Anthony will sing for the first time in Bucharest.

Even if still very young, Stefan Cazacu is an established cellist, the last confirmation being received two days ago, when he won the first prize at the Mihail Jora Contest, the oldest and most important national competition for classical music performance.

Abel Edison Corban, the same age as Stefan Cazacu, is a concert pianist, one of the best of his generation.

Please note that the Church does not like reservations or preferred seating. That is why please think imaginatively in order to avoid frustration.

With musical regards,

Societatea Muzicala
